This focused sculpt class is designed to strengthen the deep core, obliques and inner thighs using a Pilates ball and optional ankle weights. This session combines controlled, low impact movements with targeted resistance work to build stability, endurance and connection through the centre of the body.
We begin lying on the mat with the ball between the knees to encourage inner thigh and lower abdominal activation before transitioning into rolling oblique twists with the ball between the hand and thigh.
From there, we prop onto the forearms with the ball supporting the mid back while maintaining a C curve position. Expect tabletop marches, frog presses and leg splits to challenge the core and inner thighs.
A challenging plank sequence follows, creating a deep burn through the core, obliques and supporting shoulder as we roll the ball forward into shoulder extension before progressing into a forearm side plank with oblique knee drives and thread the needle rotations.
The final series focuses on the transverse abdominals and inner thigh using the ball under the hand for additional core resistance while performing inner thigh lifts and single leg frog presses all before repeating on the second side.
This workout is designed to build your physical and mental strength and endurance as we work through layered sequences of flowing movement with minimal rest.
Please remember to listen to your body above all else during your practice. Modify exercises as needed to suit your body and pause the video to take breaks if and when you need to. Leave a layer out if it doesn't feel good for you and remove props if they become too much. Never push through any neck or lower back pain during your movement.
