Upper Body & Core Strength: Medium + Light Weights + Block + Band
FEATURING THE BAND
•
35m
This class blends both weighted & unweighted sequences for a focused, yet manageable flow.
You'll start with a banded push up series targeting triceps and shoulders before coming into a Z sit using our medium weight (3-5kg) for an overhead press paired with straight leg lifts over the Pilates block to challenge core stability and strengthen hip flexors, helping to support the postural/ pelvic changes experienced throughout pregnancy.
We then come into a kneeling upper body and oblique series using light weights (2-3kg) where you can expect bicep curls, around the world sweeps and oblique tilts.
We separate our two sides with a supported reverse bridge sequence, using our resistance band for added core challenge as we layer an alternating tabletop march.
Modifications are always encouraged, with or without props so you can work at a level that feels right for you on any given day.
