This unique, Full Body Restorative class aims to release physical + mental tension and curate feelings of calmness and clarity through a blend of engaging, activating movement and gentle, flowing stretch based sequences. Expect to start with spinal movement and a gentle upper body release, before moving into a simple, centred supine core series to ensure core activation for safe practice. From there, we flow into a four point to three-legged dog series, during which you will have the opportunity to explore hip opening poses such as Scorpion and Wild Thing. We seamlessly transition into an active pigeon pose sequence before coming into a simple prone lying set. We end class with a supine twist variation and some light breath work.
This workout is designed to build your physical and mental strength and endurance as we work through layered sequences of flowing movement with minimal rest.
Please remember to listen to your body above all else during your practice. Modify exercises as needed to suit your body and pause the video to take breaks if and when you need to. Leave a layer out if it doesn't feel good for you and remove props if they become too much. Never push through any neck or lower back pain during your movement.
Enjoy!
