45 MINUTE FULL BODY STRENGTH: LIGHT WEIGHTS + BLOCK + ANKLE WEIGHTS
STRENGTH
•
44m
This feel-good class uses a Pilates block, ankle weights, and light hand weights (2-4kg) to build strength, stability, and pelvic control.
We begin standing with a reverse lunge using the block to elevate the front for extra depth while layering in bicep curls, curtsey lunges, knee drives, around the world dumbbell sweeps and shoulder presses. A true full body sequence.
We then move into four point kneeling work with our leg placed laterally for stability as we work through a single arm row before challenging the core/pelvis by finding a straight leg sweep.
A beautiful unweighted flowing sequence from there incorporating bird dogs, inner thigh cross overs and oblique knee drives.
In the centre of our class we find a supine rollback sequence placing the block between the thighs to activate the lower core and inner thigh while assisting the pelvic floor, hip flexors and lower abdominals.
